Elliecards

A great tool for facilitating communication with children with autism, as well as other language delays and disorders. Elliecards were created by the parents of an autistic child. When the system worked well for their daughter, Elliecards were further developed with the hope of helping other children, parents, therapists and educators.
Elliecards are small laminated photographs of foods and toys commonly used by young children and their caregivers. Photographs are used instead of illustrations or symbols, making this system excellent for children who are at the concrete level of using actual photos for communication. The cards are affixed to a master binder with Velcro. They come assembled in a binder organized into categories by plastic color-coded pages. Lamination is of high quality and the cards are very durable. Cards are 2.25"L x 1.75"H.
The complete package of Elliecards saves the therapist, teacher or parent a lot of time and work. It includes 192 laminated images mounted on 16 color-coded and categorized pages in a sturdy binder. It also includes the child's "choice board", where the images may be mounted and interchanged. Images include a variety of foods, snack reinforcers and toys commonly used by young children. Some cards also indicate places such as potty, bath and outside as well as a selection of colors.
Sets of laminated cards can also be purchased separately. These sets do not include Velcro, the binder, color-coded pages or choice board.
Elliecards were designed to be used as a picture exchange system. They should be used under the guidance of a therapist or educator familiar with augmentative communication methods.

Personal Talker

A single message device with attached protective cover and ten seconds of recording time. You can record a message or part of a song relating to the picture you insert. Messages can be repeatedly recorded and erased. The large play button is easy for children to press. A great device for teaching cause and effect as well as early augmentative communication. Compartment Communicator

This easy to use communicator allows you to record and re-record messages (up to 32 seconds total recording time) that correspond to four compartments. You can place real objects, pictures or word cards in the compartments, depending on the cognitive level of the child. By pressing down on a switch plate in front of each compartment, the message will sound and a light will turn on to grab the child's attention. Includes volume control. 18"x 10"x 3". Go Talk

The GoTalk is a durable, portable, lightweight message talker available in 3 styles, allowing you to choose the number of messages you will need. Put your picture display into the frame and record your messages. Press the picture to play back each message. Each style of GoTalk has five recording levels. Your core messages remain constant when you change levels. Each style features new technology that provides superior sound, volume control, easier sequential recording to set up the talker more quickly, an option for erasing a whole level at a time, and built in storage for your overlays. You can lock the recording function so that your messages cannot be erased accidentally and you can lock the level to keep a specific set of recordings available. Pictures shown with GoTalks are not included with purchase. GoTalk Stand

The GoTalk stand is sized to fit the GoTalk 4+, the GoTalk 9+ and the GoTalk 20+. The lightweight, durable, green vinyl stand opens to become an easel that props the talker up for use. Simply fit the talker handle over the foam support to secure the GoTalk to the stand. You can close the back flap of the stand over the talker to form a protective cover when you take the GoTalk with you. Measures 9" x 12.5" x 1.5".

Go Talk Overlay Software

Creating great looking overlays is easy with this software! Includes over 1,000 photos and illustrations, plus you can paste your own images into any overlay. Illustrations are clear and simple, great for young children who are not yet ready for abstract symbols but can move beyond concrete photos. Overlay cells can contain an image, text or both. VoicePod

The VoicePod is a digital recording and playback system ideal for photos, language cards and communication symbols. The VoicePod features 36 reusable, two-sided sleeves, each with an ID strip to access recordings. That means you can have up to 72 messages stored on the easy-to-use, portable VoicePod! Each sleeve has a code read by the VoicePod and a transparent flap to hold photos or cards. You can record up to a nine-second message for each sleeve. A record/lock feature prevents accidental erasures. Once the cards and messages are set up, students play messages by selecting a card and sliding it into the VoicePod. Grooved Communicator

PECS Training Manual & CD

The manual guides the reader through the six phases of PECS. It includes information on the rationale for and the implementation of each phase. Also included are instructions for constructing the pictures, discrimination training tips, data sheets, and a parent handout. This manual was developed for use by teachers and therapists as well as families. It is a comprehensive and essential tool for proper implementation of PECS.
