Songs are divided into six essential areas of speech and language: Articulation, Social Language, Receptive Language, Vocabulary Development, Voice, and Expressive Language. For example, under "Social Language" there are songs about turn taking, happy vs. sad feelings, and maintaining eye contact while communicating. "Articulation" includes songs that encourage imitation of sounds and mouth movements. "Vocabulary" has songs about word categories. These fun and useful CDs were created by Karin Howard, a speech and language pathologist, and Captain Al. Great for children ages 6 months to 5 years.
