An excellent game to work on verbs and encourage language use and comprehension. It also increases visual discrimination and attention to detail. There are many different ways to use this game, both in one-on-one and small group sessions. At the most basic level, the child can match a card with the exact action on the corresponding game board. At a more complex level, they can match cards of associated verbs (e.g. match "drinking milk from a cup" with "drinking soda from a bottle"). Another way to play is to match cards with objects related to the action (e.g. match a card showing a book to the image of a child reading). Actions include: drink, cut, pour, stir, talk, play, read, draw, hang, close, listen, fold, throw, paint, climb, and wash. Game includes 4 photo scene boards, 4 playing boards, each with 4 blank spots to place cards, and 52 photo cards (divided into 16 verb cards, 16 associated verb cards, 16 noun cards, and 4 boy/girl cards). Cards are 4"x 4", scene boards are 12"x 8". Made of rigid cardboard.
